The Cincinnati Bengals have a chance to cap a five-game winning streak in a tough AFC North battle with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
A win would keep the Bengals in the mix for a wild-card berth in the AFC if they can get help from the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets, who will need to defeat the Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins, respectively, to move those teams out of Cincinnati’s way.
However, one analyst recently revealed an issue with the Bengals that has kept them from having more success this season.
“Their back end has been a real problem. … When you can’t cover in this league, it’s really hard to play, and they have not covered well,” Greg Cosell said, via One Bills Live.

Cosell also mentioned how ESPN analyst Troy Aikman recently made the point that when you have to score 35 points every week just to compete, it’s incredibly difficult for an offense to deal with that reality.
Cincinnati’s offense has kept it in playoff contention while the defense ranks 29th in the league in points allowed.
The Bengals have a lot of new players in the secondary after losing Chidobe Awuzie as a free agent and Dax Hill and DJ Turner to injured reserve.
Yet, the Bengals would be a difficult matchup for any AFC team in the playoffs, as it wasn’t that long ago they made it all the way to the Super Bowl.
